What is Mail Call?
The tradition of Mail Call—sending letters and care packages to soldiers—has provided crucial moral support throughout history. In Washington, D.C., the National Postal Museum features a permanent exhibit dedicated to the importance of this connection to home.
We honor this tradition by giving our Veterans their own special Mail Call on the flight home. Each Veteran receives a large envelope filled with letters as a welcome gift from their "tour."

Who can submit letters for Mail Call?
Absolutely everyone! We cherish the community outpouring we see each year during Mail Call. We specifically ask Veteran family members to gather letters from everyone in the family. Beyond that, we strongly encourage schools, community organizations, and individuals to express their gratitude by writing letters, drawing pictures, or sending thank you cards to our Veterans.
